Hi there. I'm here to tell you something about this scenario and thank a few people.
In the scenario folder you'll find all the scripts that were necessary to make this scenario. t0wargrove.txt and the dlg version are there too, but the town doesn't appear in the scenario. I deleted Warriors grove in the Scenario, after I was convinced it would be an unnecessary town in the story.
I HEAVILY RECOMMEND to at least read the "Known bugs" paragraph of this document. When you have questions, please first refer to the "Hints" document in the scenario folder, and if that doesn't solve your question, look at the "Known bugs" paragraph of this (readme) document. If that also doesn't solve your question, feel free to email me to ask your question or post a topic on the Spiderweb Software boards.
Also, I have heard several complaints on my choosing of the names. They are confusing at times (For example, I included "Emperor Thralni"). I want it to be very clear that all people that share names in this scenario with other people of Avernum, are not related in any way to the Avernum people, except when said otherwise (Like Emperor Thralni). That means that people like Commander Johnson, Mother Erika etc., have nothing to do with Avernum!
I have included a map of Riverrod with this scenario. I didn't make it available in-game though, so you will have to print the map out if you intend to use it regularly while playing. if, for some reason or another, you manage to lose your copy of the map, you can download it again on my website: http://thralni.ermarian.net/.
INFORMATION ON SPECIAL ITEMS AND ABILITIES can be found by going to "links to other documents."
I included a walkthrough for the main plot and a smaller walkthrough for separate sidequests with the scenario. First read those. If that didn't help you, you can then send me an email or visit the Spiderweb software boards for any further questions. I also included a handy map with the scenario, as a reference for you to use while travelling.
An error in town 14, the ceremony caves, might occur. It will look like this: "t14cercaves Error: Missing semicolon at line 0." I don't know how to fix this. If you do know, please tell me!
After the cutscene with the Empire HQ and the villain, there should be a big modification to the outdoors in which Empire HQ stands. However, whatever I tried, BoA just doesn't manage to get it right, and last time I tried to alter the outdoor section to reflect the damage done to it, BoA seemed to get stuck in an infinite loop and it eventually crashed...
To Kelandon, who has helped me with most of my questions and gave me good solutions for my problems, and whose tutorials helped me enormously
To Thuryl, Who also gave me valuable information and helped me out from time to time.
To ef, who helped me with my custom graphics. Without her none of my graphics would have worked.
To *I (Stareye), who helped me out from time to time.
To Luz Piazuelo, who's website offered me several beautiful graphics.
to Drakefyre and Ash Lael, whose advice gave me the chance to improve the story of the scenario by leaps and bounds, whose ideas gave me the inspiration to create special abilities and items.
I have worked hard on this scenario. So therefor I ask you: please mail me if you want to do something or something related with this scenario. If you have this big plan for a second part, MAIL ME!! if you want to use something of the scenario, even if its just a custom item type, MAIL ME!! I could give a long list of things you should mail me for first, but I don't feel like.
Here I state which items/scripts/graphics etc. I used, made by others. Some graphics are still in the .cmg file, but i didn't use them eventually. These graphics are not listen in the acknowledgements.
- graphics
Made by Luz Piazuelo are the graphics: Bunk bed, four poster bed, the green and white tiled floors, the evil dark wall, the red and greenish marble walls, the black stone wall (as in town 3),
the church pews, the gardens, the outdoor church and the outdoor castle.
Made by Danial ray are the mossy walls graphics
Made by Kalinging are the dirtroads graphics
Made by Jigga is the Nephil statue
- scripts
Made by kelandon is the changedialog.txt creature script
I used a part of Kelandon's "t2raiser.txt" script of the HLPM, to get the script "cashmachine2.txt" to work. This is also mentioned in the appropriate script.
Betatesters, in no particular order, I thank you: Andrew Carpenter, Grail Shadowblade,TM, inthrall, Supanik, Dolphin, Lenar Labs, Ash lael, Tyranicus and Dintiradan, of which my special thanks to Supanik (Nikki), who invested much of his time in this scenario.

- Messages of patrolling guards in the outdoors will only display once
version 2.0.0
- added some more outdoor encounters with Senarti.

- changed the functioning of the button in the Senarti fort: luck will help you now.
- the description of the button-note is more clear in the Senarti fort.

- added an enormous, partly interactive cutscene as introduction to the scenario. One can also choose to just read the story, or to have no story and no cutscene, which will start the scenario immediately.
- Thralni's dialogue has been changed: I used dialog boxes instead of the traditional dialogue.
- I repaired the dialogue file of Filberton, enabling the appoint-making again.
version 1.1.2
- added some more area descriptions to the outdoors;
- fixed some spelling (Nikki, you have done wonders!);
- added the two intro pics, as the three people whom I asked to do it didn't deliver anything;
- fixed a small bug in Ruth's dialogue.
- made an enormous intro cutscene
version 1.1.1
- Added many more items and such to several towns;
- Corrected some more spelling mistakes;

- The altar in the Voughton sewers can now be sanctified;
- Thralni's treasure is no longer unguarded.
Version 1.1.0 (Note that also all scripts are now version 1.1.0. If the version number isn't mentioned, just assume it to be version 1.1.0)
In general:
- Added much more detail to dialogue;
- Added much, much more detail to towns: a lot of small things will be noticeable (like a certain person moving between towns);
- Corrected bugs;
- Corrected spelling mistakes;
- Corrected some graphics.
In detail:
- Second release for betatesting;
- Can't see end of the world anymore (previously you could, which was quite ugly);
- Corrected the dialogue of the Clothing shop in Voughton: you are only offered a bag if you bought something;
- Corrected numerous *cough* spelling mistakes;
- Corrected a problem that a certain vital quest could not be completed;
- Gave Benthol totally new dialogue options: when you kill Thralni, Benthol will have many new things to say. He explains now very important things after you kill Thralni. This is hinted at when you kill Thralni in the final showdown;
- Fixed problems with the dialogue of the mayor of Filberton, where you had to make multiple; appointments. You can now try all dialogue options, without having to make multiple appointments;
- Added a group of guards to the outdoor Pleasantville area and outdoor Fort Filbert area;
- Added a special state to the hill with the tower near Filberton;
- Altered some of the dialogue of all towns to make it a bit more interesting;
- The mayor of Filberton explains to you why you hear no complaints about the Empire at all;
- You will find the effect of the attack on the empire headquarters to be quite a bit bigger;
- Added a "No thank you" option to the inn at Pleasantville bartender dialogue;
- In some subquests (Like the Fort Filbert and Ruined village quests) I made it a bit more clearer where you should look;
- In Fort Filbert I added something to make the "investigate Fort Filbert" quest of mayor Arbuckle of Filberton just a bit more realistic: you search com Johnson's room while he is away, eating. When you find the note when he has already returned to his room, you are thrown out of the fort, and can only enter when com Johnson has been arrested;
- Added a special node to the mine entrance just behind the Riverrod Empire HQ;
- Added more wandering monsters, of which some disappear after some time (Senarti troops);
- Thralni himself tells you of the Empire and what they did to the Thraldom;
- The scrolls in the archive of the Riverrod Empire HQ are now far more detailed and supply you with much information, if you can get the permit to look at it from the empire liaison of Voughton on time;
- Corrected the dirt road graphics.
Version 1.0.0
- First release for betatesting.
